I'm interested in a meal plan. How do I sign up?
If you would like to purchase a meal plan, visit our Meal Plan page for more information. If you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, simply contact the Marshall ID Office (304-696-6843) for commuter meal plans or Housing & Resident Life (304-696-6765) for resident meal plans.
What are Dining Dollars?
Dining dollars are equivalent to cash at Marshall University and may be used at all Marshall Dining locations without being taxed. They are stored on your Marshall ID like a Gift Card and can be used for any food or beverage purchases.
Where can I spend my Dining Dollars?
Dining Dollars can be spent at any Marshall Dining location on campus, including: Harless Dining Hall, Denny's Den, Mein Bowl, 1837 Fresh Food Market, Steak N Shake, La Famiglia, Chick-fil-a, Huntington Market, Starbucks, and Drinko Coffee Shop.
Do Dining Dollars roll over semester to semester?
Dining Dollars will not expire from the Fall to the Spring semester. Dining Dollars WILL EXPIRE at the end of the spring school semester on the last open day for students.
Where can I use my "Meal Swipes"?
"Meal Swipes" may be used at Harless Dining Hall for Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner. Some retail locations offer a "Meal Exchange" where specific items or combos may be purchased by using a Meal Swipe + Dining Dollars. The amount of Dining Dollars required for a Meal Exchange depends on the price of the items and will either be $1, $2, $3, $4, or $5 as well as a single Meal Swipe from any of our offered Meal Plans.
Locations include: Huntington Market, La Famiglia, Steak 'N Shake, Chick-fil-A, 1837 Fresh Food Market, & The Den by Denny's.
I have a suggestion for a new menu item. Where can I submit it?
Marshall Dining is always striving to improve your quality of life. If you or someone you know have a menu item you'd like to see added to a Marshall Dining location, fill out a comment card, found at any dining location. You may also contact the Marshall Dining office to submit your request at 304-696-2544 or text ASKMUDining to 82257 with your suggestion.
What is "Simple Servings"?
Simple Servings provides safe and appetizing food choices for our customers with food allergies, gluten intolerance, or those who prefer simple foods. Harless Dining Hall offers a Simple Servings option for every meal. More information can be found here.

Yes! With our FlavoursĀ® catering menu, we have something to fit everyone's taste. You can also order catering for parties, weddings, reunions and more! (NOTE: MU Dining is not responsible for scheduling facilities on Marshall University's campus.)
